Dallas Business Journal Honors PMUSA CEO in 2015 Women in Business Awards

Rachel 560x850DALLAS — August 31, 2015 — Rachel Sanchez, CEO of Prestige Maintenance USA (PMUSA), was recently announced as an honoree in the 2015 Women in Business Awards. Organized by the Dallas Business Journal, the awards recognize female leaders who are shaping the North Texas business scene.

Sanchez was selected from more than 250 applicants to share this honor with 24 other local leaders, including a mayor, real estate moguls, attorneys, nonprofit founders and fellow CEOs. The honorees were recognized at an awards luncheon and were featured in the August 28 issue of the Dallas Business Journal.

Sanchez was chosen for her leadership skills in building PMUSA into one of the largest woman- and family-owned custodial and facilities maintenance companies in the nation. Under her leadership and that of her brother, Jason Dinverno, COO, the company has grown from a local business into a thriving national corporation.

While growing the business that her parents founded in 1976, Sanchez has emphasized sustainability. This has resulted in PMUSA earning the CIMS Green Building with Honors certification, an elite designation for facility service providers administered through ISSA, the leading organization for the cleaning industry worldwide.

But Sanchez hasn’t just built a successful company; she’s helped grow an environment in which diversity is emphasized and women’s roles in the business community are supported. Sanchez serves on the Women’s Business Council Southwest Certification and Sponsorship committees and is the recipient of the 2013 Women Working Together Award, 2014 WBE of the Year and 2015 WBE Star Award. The company also maintains a supplier diversity program, spearheaded by Sanchez in 2012.

Under Sanchez’s leadership, PMUSA emphasizes the importance of corporate stewardship and individual activism, with more than 1,000 hours of employee community service given yearly. The company also holds quarterly charity drives for nonprofits, such as Shoes for Orphan Souls, Mended Little Hearts, Genesis Women’s Shelter and Book Worm Angels.

“I am honored that the Dallas Business Journal and its panel have chosen me for this distinction,” Sanchez says. “To be included among so many respected business leaders is thrilling. But what means the most is the recognition that we’ve built on my parents’ foundation of timeless values and successfully grown PMUSA into a company where diversity, sustainability and the spirit of giving are not only embraced, but treasured.”
